BWU workers engage in occupational safety training

General Secretary of the Barbados Workers Union Toni Moore says her Union’s officers are now equipped with a deeper understanding of the potential risks in the workplace and the critical importance of adhering to safety protocols.

She says to keep pace with global standards and set new benchmarks in occupational safety and health, they recently participated in an innovative training programme.

Ms. Moore says the programme was developed in partnership with the International Transport Federation Seafarers’ Trust.

It incorporates the use of a cutting-edge mobile application designed to transform the way stakeholders learn about and engage with occupational safety.
