Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says data from the studies will play an essential role in helping Government make informed decisions.
The Country Assessment Living Conditions, CALC, which officially starts on July 1 has four main components, including the participatory poverty assessment and survey of living conditions.
Mr. Humphrey says within the next six months Barbados’ poverty line will be known based on the findings of the CALC.
However, in the meantime, he is asking Barbadians to cooperate with the enumerators visiting their homes.
