As Barbados looks to widen and deepen its relationships with other countries, there is a suggestion that the island needs a managed migration policy, which will ensure that those coming to live and work offer skills and knowledge.
That is according to the Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Business, Sandra Husbands.
She made it clear however, that the Government would not be looking to flood the country with migrants.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary, Simone Rudder, says the digital transformation which the Ministry is going through is critical.
