A break-in at the Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary resulted in classes being cancelled.
The Education Ministry said it was notified that the staff room and the pre-fabricated buildings were breached.
Police were summoned and their investigations revealed that two laptops and some cleaning supplies were missing.
The computers were recovered soon afterwards.
The Minister said parents who turned up insisted on taking their children out of school, thereby resulting in no classes being held today.
Meanwhile, that incident has prompted another call for security at primary schools across Barbados to be beefed up.
It came from the Shop Steward at the Barbados Union of Teachers, Pedro Shepherd, who is also the Information Technology Teacher at the school.
Trevor Thorpe reports.
