Opposition Senator Tricia Watson is suggesting that Government will have to go back to the drawing board and revise expected revenue in this year’s estimates.
During her contribution to the Appropriation Bill, 2024, in the Upper House earlier, Senator Watson said there was an absence of an explanation as to where Government intended to recoup the $1.5 billion deficit.
Senator Watson said following what occurred in 2018 when Barbadians had been asked to invest in Government bonds, Government seemed surprised that people were no longer interested in investing.
