Call for new land management approach

A local agriculturalist wants to see a more ecological approach to land management in Barbados going into the new year.

This suggestion from radio talk show host George Gill of Project Live Earth.

He wants authorities to plan out the land utilising techniques which would exploit more of the difficult hilly terrain to reinvigorate those lands and by extension local agriculture.

Mr. Gill says alot of ideas can be adopted from what already obtains in other jurisdictions.

He says he wants to be optimistic about agriculture coming out of the recent COP 28 governmental meeting.
