CARICOM support for Bridgetown Initiative

Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong supports calls for a reset in the way how poor countries versus rich nations borrow money from international institutions.

He says the issue is one of concern for the regional grouping with CARICOM supporting efforts to bring about change through the Bridgetown Initiative.

Ambassador Comissiong says Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has made it clear the developed world does not see nor listen to the developing states.

He was a guest on the Conversations on CARICOM segment of CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
