Government is seeking to get Barbadians to help improve the country’s food security and beautify their properties.
The Ministry of Environment and National Beautification has launched a Parish Home Garden Competition.
Minister Adrian Forde says the initiative is an opportunity for Barbadians to beautify their country.
Coordinator of the Tree Planting Project Team Dewyn Phillips says the inter-parish competition is slated to run between May 10 and 23.
He says the winners from each parish will receive a prize of $1500 for having the most beautiful home or residential garden.
