Barbadians are being encouraged to cooperate fully with the census enumerators coming around the island gathering information.
It comes from Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment, Marsha Caddle who says the information is critical to the future development of Barbados.
She was speaking as she led off Debate in the House of Assembly on legislation to support the exercise.
Minister Caddle says the Statistics Validation of Listing Exercise Bill 2021 will support the work of the enumerators who will collect data on things like the housing stock, poverty levels and the needs of the various categories of people on the island among other critical details.
She also gave the assurance that all information given will be protected.
