A mentorship programme is underway to help address problems with at-risk youth in St. Philip.
A pilot project for the Community High Achievers Mentoring Programme known as CHAMP was launched at the Accra Beach Hotel.
Local charity Red Foundation is administering CHAMP and Chairman Alvin Jemmott suggests ways must be found to help at-risk youth in Barbados develop self worth.
He believes this is will help place them on a path to make a meaningful contribution to society.
The Maria Holder Memorial Trust is a partner in the CHAMP programme.
Project Manager Donna Clarke says they will fund three key components of the project, which will include one on one mentorship, group mentorship and community mentorship classes.
