Changes are coming to the National HIV/AIDS Commission.
The announcement from Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey.
He says there are plans to expand the scope of the department, to also include chronic non communicable diseases.
Minister Humphrey was speaking during the launch of the Healthy Living Expo.
Dubbed the premiere health and wellness event in Barbados, it is scheduled for September 2 and 3 at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Creator, Sharon Skeete, says the goal is to bring greater awareness of health in a holistic sense.
