Members of the public are advised that under the Barbados Identity Management Act, there is an applicable fee of $60.00 for the replacement of the Trident Identification (ID) card.
In a release, the Electoral and Boundaries Commission (EBC) noted the fee would apply in the following circumstances:
- where there is a change in any information printed on the card;
- where the personal appearance has changed significantly from that reflected in the photograph on the card; and
- where the Identification card is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed, tampered with or defaced.
Registrants are required to visit the Office at Warrens Tower II to apply for replacement cards, and may also visit the website www.electoral.barbados.gov.bb to see the circumstances under which exemptions from payment of the fee are permitted.
