Thousands of Barbadians will soon be accessing cheaper high-speed internet service.
It is being done through a private-public sector partnership programme called “Jump”. Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley stressed the plan which involves the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs and Flow, will deliver low-income connections to several locals.
Other Caribbean households are also benefitting from the jump arrangement which is being rolled out in territories in association with the telecommunications provider.
Barbados’ contract was signed during a ceremony at the Sandals Royal Resort by Minister of Elder Affairs and People Empowerment Kirk Humphrey and Flow’s Country Manager Desron Bynoe. Prime Minister Mottley noted that the initiative will touch a cross-section of families
