There’s an appeal to Government and other stakeholders in agriculture to help prevent any panic reaction to expected price increases for meat and other products in the coming weeks.
B.A.S. Chief Executive Officer James Paul made the call on the Morning Report.
While reacting to news of the estimated 8% price increase for feed coming from Pinnacle Feeds Limited, which took effect on Tuesday, he also called for greater collaboration between ministries as it relates to the issue of import licences.
While the B.A.S. boss expects consumers will see price increases across the board, he says any price hike should not be immediate.
