It appears another local financial institution has fallen victim to hackers.
The situation has left thousands of customers of a local credit union seeking answers after several of its services were affected.
CBC understands the City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union is currently investigating a possible cyber security attack on its network.
As a result clients have been unable to use their cards, whether at the ATM or for other services.
The COB app is also offline, along with other online banking services offered by the financial institution.
A notice in the form of an email has been sent to customers alerting them to what COB is has termed ‘technical difficulties’ currently being experienced and the impact on its network.
Information reaching CBC News also indicates COB officials are looking into the matter and are expected to issue a statement in the coming days.
Opening hours have been extended to accommodate customers as the Credit Union moves to restore the network.
