A senior emergency official wants national attention paid to what he calls a cow itch crisis in Barbados.
Chief Fire Officer, Errol Maynard says cow itch is a major nuisance and health hazard which has been impacting the country the same way each year.
Mr. Maynard says there’s a belief by some residents burning is a solution to the problem.
He says this has created problems for the Fire Service as it has had to respond to fires that got out of control.
