Cuba is going to be included in Barbados’ plans to reduce the island’s food import bill and the cost of food for Barbadians.
The disclosure from Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley on the sidelines of the CARICOM-Cuba summit being hosted by Barbados at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
She told reporters Cuba will become a part of the broad effort by Barbados and the rest of the region to reduce their food import bill by 25 per cent by 2025.
She says the collective effort will also involve the help of Ghana.
