Barbados has heard from Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley about the scale of the job to remedy issues with roads and brown water in St. Lucy.
She says it requires dedicated work over the next five years.
Ms Mottley was speaking at the latest Parish Speaks held in St. Lucy at the Daryll Jordan Secondary School.
She told residents roads will continue to be an issue as long as water and service mains are a problem.
