The Democratic Labour Party wants access to an annual subvention usually split between political parties with a Parliamentary presence.
DLP President, Dr. Ronnie Yearwood made the call during a meeting of the Parliamentary Reform Commission at the Party’s George Street headquarters.
He said the subvention, created by late Prime Minister, Professor the Right Honourable Owen Arthur, came from a realisation that political parties require funding in order to survive.
