Don’t be discouraged by weight requirements

There is advice for people who have been refused life insurance because they have been categorised as overweight or obese.

The General Insurance Association of Barbados, in responding to the issue, is urging Barbadians to shop around as far as insurance providers go.

People can also get a second or third opinion from other doctors to support their claim for insurance coverage.

President Randy Graham gave his take on the matter during The People’s Business show’s, “Insurance and You” part two, in response to a question from the public about discrimination in this regard by insurance companies.
