A concerted effort by the Ministry of Tourism to boost summer arrival numbers is expected to pay big dividends this year.
Some of the measures were outlined by Tourism Minister, Ian Gooding-Edghill as the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure Debate got underway.
The estimated total expenditure under the tourism head is 26.5 million dollars.
Painting a picture for summer tourist arrivals, Minister Gooding-Edghill says the pacing reports currently indicate they are trending in the right direction.
That’s because, he says, some major events are planned for that period.
He identified some of the high volume activities scheduled for this summer.
