When Kenya’s President, Uhuru Kenyatta arrives in Barbados next week, further solidifying the business relationship between the two countries will be one of the top agenda items.
This from Kenya’s High Commissioner to Barbados, Anthony Muchiri who is part of the advanced delegation, paving the way for President Kenyatta’s visit.
High Commissioner Muchiri, who is resident in Cuba, told a news conference on Friday the President’s arrival coincides with the start of UNCTAD 15 since, as the last host, he hands over the mantle to Barbados’ Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley.
The diplomat says however, there will also be a number of high level bilateral meetings, designed to boost south-south cooperation.
During the first African-Caribbean summit, leaders expressed their desire for a forum of Africa and CARICOM territories and the High Commissioner said steps will be taken during the visit to solidify this relationship.
