EV dealers overcome supply challenges

Local electric vehicle (EV) dealers have been able to overcome the supply challenges that had led to a situation where the demand from Barbadians was outstripping supply.

As a result, Co-founder and Managing Director of Megapower Barbados Jo Edghill says they are now meeting the increased demand for EVs that followed the Budget announcement of reduced taxes and fees on the increasingly popular green energy vehicles.

She adds that technology has improved significantly over the years to enable EVs to go for much longer without having to charge.
