The Ministry of Education’s Constitution Road headquarters had to be evacuated this afternoon, after workers noticed smoke.
The Barbados Fire Service confirms it received a call about 21 minutes past two in the afternoon.
A small fire was eventually located in an air conditioning unit in the Ministry’s Media Resource Department.
Station Officer Roger Bourne provided more details during a telephone interview with CBC News.
