Barbadians are being asked to be cautious and protect themselves, following reports of a rise in people presenting with flu-like symptoms at doctors’ offices.
First Vice President of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners, Dr. Adanna Grandison says this time of year coincides with what is traditionally known as flu season.
Dr. Grandison adds the flu virus can present with symptoms such as muscle aches, tiredness, cough, fever, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and headaches.
She has shared some precautions and tips for people to protect themselves during this flu season.
