The organisers of the Community Independence Celebrations have been asked to consider increasing the rewards for participants.
The call has come from the Minister Of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Charles Griffith.
He was speaking during a ceremony to recognise the 2022 and 2023 Parish Ambassadors, Attendants and Parish Independence Committees.
Mr Griffith believes it is one way to keep the programme attractive and ensure its continued success. The Minister has committed to leveraging the other programmes within his Ministry to assist participants.
