Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, Elizabeth Riley notes they are not only a source of income but a critical plank in recovery and relief efforts.
However, she notes ports often suffer the greatest damage in a system.
She was speaking on day 3 of the UN Global Supply Trade Forum at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
