Even as the region continues to gear up for the 2024 hurricane season, countries have been reminded of the importance of ports.
Executive Director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, Elizabeth Riley notes they are not only a source of income but a critical plank in recovery and relief efforts.
However, she notes ports often suffer the greatest damage in a system.
She was speaking on day 3 of the UN Global Supply Trade Forum at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
