Government discusses cost of feed with stakeholders

Another effort is being made to ease farmers from increased feed prices.

Stressing Pinnacle Feeds Limited is a private entity, Minister of Agriculture, Indar Weir says he’s held a meeting with the company and other stakeholders to discuss the issue.

Earlier this month the company released a statement that it could no longer protect its customers from inflation and would have to increase feed prices in March by an average of 8%.

Mr. Weir says his Ministry has formally written to the entities requesting information and will do a full analysis on what it costs to produce feed.
