Government engaging all stakeholders in crime fight

As Government pursues several crime prevention strategies, the Minister whose primary job is to make it happen, says it is important to engage all stakeholders in society in this fight.

That message comes from the Minister of State in the Office of the Attorney General with Responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane.

He was speaking after meeting with young influential Barbadians, who could make a difference in changing the mindset and behaviours of young people, specifically those who engage in crime and violence.

Minister Lane says social media influencers appeal to and interact with many people, which puts them in a perfect position to change negative narratives in society.

The social media influencers view the Government’s plan to partner with them as a good move.
