Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley wants to see Barbados reach a stage where the country is vaccinating close to 1 500 people a day against COVID-19.
It is a target she believes will take the island to the stage where it needs to be. Prime Minister Mottley assured the government will continue to put systems in place to assist.
Meanwhile Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic admits rising COVID-19 cases are proving to be a challenge for health officials in accommodating people at the island’s isolation facilities. He stressed that the numbers are high at the moment, as 218 new cases were recorded on Saturday. The Minister also revealed that the triage process has begun.
