Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley suggests Barbadians are now seeing the wisdom of installing cameras and Global Positioning System (GPS) in public transport, following the recent robbery of a public service vehicle operator that went viral.

She notes this is contrary to the view when the idea was proposed by her new Goverment. According to Ms. Mottley,  times are different today. She made the comments during last evening’s “St. Andrew Speaks”.

 The Prime Minister again voiced her displeasure over the inconvenience, along with the length of time and quality of work of the ongoing road works project on the East Coast Road. Ms Mottley says she empathizes with residents.

In response to concerns about the Interamerican Development Bank Project, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works, Santia Bradshaw says a meeting  has been held with contractors

She told residents they are close to completing the project.
