Grim predictions for new year

Predictions of more COVID-19 related deaths and many more cases in the new year, with the possible advent of the Omicron strain here in Barbados.

Emergency Room Physician, Dr. Hilary Moore paints a grim picture in her assessment of the current COVID-19 climate as Barbados eases restrictions, while other countries across the globe re-impose stricter measures and lockdowns due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.

She made the comment during CBC’s Morning Report.

In looking ahead to the potential impact of COVID-19 on the island in the new year, Dr. Moore is worried that Barbados could very likely be impacted by the new Omicron variant.
