A cyber expert has told CBC News that hacker attacks on institutions are either for money or to get information on their clients.
David Gittens, who has worked in the field for the last 16 years and is the founding president of the Information Systems Security Association Barbados Chapter, says many hackers try to get information to use for blackmail.
