A local medical professional says the island’s high hypertension rates are of concern and require action.
According to Dr. Adrian Lorde, Barbados is among countries in the region with the highest incidence of high blood pressure.
His comments came during an address at the Church of Christ the King as part of activities for World Hypertension Day observed yesterday.
The topic, “Measure your blood pressure…control it…live longer!”
