In Barbados, entrepreneurs will be able to access higher levels of funding to stimulate business growth because of a new partnership between two lending agencies.
The Barbados Trust Fund Limited and BET Co-operative Credit Union Ltd are collaborating to open up the higher level of funding than usual.
Trust Fund General Manager Gerald Amos told a media conference this week the partnership would strengthen entrepreneurship in the island.
Cleviston Haynes is the first business owner to benefit from the new facility, and his wife received a cheque from Support Services Assistant, Shanelle Estwick on his behalf.
Operations manager at BET Credit Union, Ryan Reece said bringing the project to fruition would open doors for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), and move the sector to another level.
