The derelict community spaces and declining populations in rural Barbados tell the story that people have forgotten that others live on that side of the island.
This view was expressed by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley in opening of the Hillcrest Community Centre yesterday evening at Beachmont, Bathsheba. She says her Ministers in the rural corridor will take care of the needs of these residents.
In his remarks, Member of Parliament for the area Dale Marshall said it was the culmination of a dream for many residents. He says they are happy it has materialised, though there were challenges along the way.
