Over 350 people have been trained recently in beekeeping in Barbados.
As efforts continue to boost apiculture, Senior Agricultural Officer Bret Taylor has revealed that a lot of the people into beekeeping are hobbyists and some for quick money.
He was at the time responding to a question posed about apiculture in Barbados by the Minister of the Environment Adrian Forde.
He outlined challenges beekeeping officials are working to address.
