Inclusion good for business

Inclusion in the workplace is good for business.

That’s according to research data presented at a recent forum, the LGBTQ Plus Inclusion in Banking and Finance Roundtable.

The event, facilitated by the Canadian High Commission, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and the Barbados International Business Association saw a number of stakeholders in the community supporting the movement for a greater level of inclusion and diversity within the business sector and beyond.

Caribbean Campaign Lead for LGBT Open for Business, Donnya Piggott revealed the data from research done by the non-profit organisation, saying there’s an economic case for inclusion.

Meanwhile Barbados and the region has been hailed for developing a framework to support the rights for the LGBTQ community, especially in the workplace.

Chief Executive of Open for Business, Dominic Arnell says this is in stark contrast to what’s happening in other countries across the world.
