Two children are now mourning the loss of their father after the shooting incident in Nursery #2, Four Roads, St. Philip last night.
20 year old Nicobie Lavia, of Cox Hill in the same parish, was killed while a 26 year old man was injured when gun shots rang out around half past 7.
Reports indicate both men were in a car in the area when they were confronted by a group of males.
As news of the incident spread, scores of onlookers and relatives gathered at the scene.
One of Nicobie’s relatives, who spoke to us off camera, recounted fond memories of the late entrepreneur.
Police Communications and Public Affairs Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, is appealing to witnesses or anyone who has any knowledge of the incident to contact Police Emergency at 211, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
