St. Philip will soon have a new housing development as Crown Lands formerly earmarked for the Ministry of Home Affairs are being shifted.
During today’s session of the Lower House a Resolution for the Vesting and Disposal of Crown Lands at Dodds Plantation was laid by Senior Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. William Duguid.
The land is intended for the construction of some houses and lot creation for the squatters at Gemswick, St. Philip, as well as to provide housing for others in the parish who cannot qualify for a mortgage.
Dr. Duguid says work has already started to layout the area.
