POLICE UPDATE: The Barbados Police Service has provided new information stating that the victim in the shooting is a 29-year-old man and not 58 years old as stated in their press release.

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious condition after being shot on Sunday night.
The Barbados Police Service received a telephone report around 9:00 p.m., which stated that a man was shot and had collapsed in the roadway at Sargeants Street, St. John.
Police responded and confirmed that a 29-year-old man was riding his motorcycle to his residence when he was attacked by two armed men, he was shot in his chest and neck. The man was transported to hospital via ambulance in a serious condition. Meanwhile, the two men fled the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
