Man dies after fall from tree

Police are on the scene at Walkes Spring, St. Thomas, where a man has died after falling from a coconut tree.

Police PRO Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss says the incident was reported around 10:05 this morning.

He says the man was picking coconuts from the tree when the trunk broke and he fell to the ground.

The man is thought to be in his 50’s and a coconut vendor.

Investigations are ongoing
