The Barbados Police Service is carrying out investigations into a shooting which left one man dead and another nursing injuries.
27-year-old Darrien Anderson Robinson of 1st Avenue, Lower Carlton, St. James lost his life in the incident which occurred around 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Thunder Bay, Lower Carlton, St. James.
Police said in a press release that they responded to a report of gunshots being fired and on arrival at the scene – “where a promotion fete was being held, were informed that two males were injured and had left the scene. On further investigations, it was learnt that one male was transported to a private medical institution by a private motor car where he subsequently passed away….
“Another male, Roshay Jermaine Anthony Cadogan 20 years of Waterford, St. Michael, who received an injury to his upper left arm, was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private motorcar for medical treatment.
“Investigations are continuing into this matter. Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with these investigations is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Department of the Northern Division at 419-1730 or 419-1737, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
“All information received will be strictly confidential.”
