A man was shot dead and three police officers were injured this morning after a shooting incident involving the Barbados Police Service.
Reports indicate that the male occupant of a motor vehicle in an area near Eagle Hall, St Michael, was shot around 4 am today. Police also stressed that the officers who were injured were not shot.
Police have cordoned the area and said that they “anticipate a significant disruption of vehicular traffic in the current location.
“Traffic diversions are in place. We are asking all motorists to avoid the area if they can.”
Three police officers are seeking medical attention as a result of the incident.
