The Barbados Royals bowling attack for the 2022 edition of the CPL is expected to be boosted by the inclusion of left-arm pacer Obed McCoy.
The 25 year old has switched sides this season, from the St. Lucia Kings to become part of the Royals franchise, a team he also represented in the inaugural season of the 6ixty which wrapped up on Sunday.
The Royals will play the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
The team will have new Captain David Miller joining the squad later in the tournament, with Kyle Mayers serving as his deputy in his absence.
McCoy says the CPL is a great competition for young players to develop their skills.
Meanwhile, the Women’s CPL gets the ball rolling today at 3:00 p.m. with Barbados Royals taking on the Trinbago Knight Riders.
It’ll be live on MCTV’s SportsMax channel 311.
Then the first Men’s fixture will begin at 7:00 p.m. between Jamaica Tallawahs and St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. That match will be on SportsMax 310.
