More embracing e-learning

More Barbadians have become comfortable with e-learning.

They have been embracing the courses offered by Coursera and this is a welcomed development for the Director of the National Transformation Initiative, Dr. Allyson Leacock.

She revealed close to 36,000 people have enrolled in Coursera courses and more than one thousand courses available from NTI are free.

The Erdiston Teachers Training College, the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation and Export Barbados-BIDC meanwhile have teamed up with the NTI and Coursera, allowing their employees to boost existing skills.

Letters of Intent were signed in this regard with the three and NTI Director, Dr. Allyson Leacock.

She says the NTI and Coursera have been playing a part in helping Barbadians upskill for the future.
