At least two providers of electric and hybrid vehicles in Barbados believe more concessions and incentives are needed to drive the sector and encourage a greater buy-in from the public.
Sales Director at Nassco Limited, Roger Moore, says anything to make prices more competitive is welcomed.
Since the provision of some concessions for the hybrid vehicles, he revealed there is more interest from Barbadians.
His comments came during a webinar on electric vehicles hosted by the Ministry of Energy.
And Co-founder and Director of Megapower Limited, Joanna Edhill also participated in that session.
She is making a call for incentives to help with the build out of necessary infrastructure for electric vehicles.
