More space in A&E soon

September 2, 2023

Barbadians visiting the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital should soon have more spacious accommodations.

Word of this from Chief Operations Officer, Dr. Christine Greenidge, who notes the refurbishment of that critical department is in its final phase.

She made the point as she spoke with the media after a meet-and-greet session for new medical interns at the QEH.

Meanwhile, Dr. Greenidge says the medication delivery service offered by the QEH remains fully operational and encouraged Barbadians to take full advantage of its existence.

She notes that for a nominal fee Barbadians can remain in the comfort of their homes and have their full prescriptions delivered to them without the hassle of having to come to the Hospital.

She says this also alleviates the lengthy waiting time which sometimes can occur when coming to the QEH.
