More young people are being diagnosed as hypertensive in Barbados.
As Barbados observes World Hypertension Day, Deputy Dean for Faculty of Medical Science at the University of West Indies Cave Hill Campus and Consultant Internist QEH, Dr Kenneth Connell, highlighted the worrying trend relating to high blood pressure.
He was speaking on CBC TV8’s Morning Report where he noted that the chronic illness continues to claim even more lives than COVID-19.
