The 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) opened in Egypt on Sunday with Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley telling other world leaders they need to understand why the climate fight is not getting any further ahead.
She said the effects of climate change are ever visible.
Prime Minister Mottley says when she repeats “1.5 to stay alive” she takes no pride in the statement.
She told the audience gathered in Sharm El-Sheikh, collectively they have the capacity to transform the situation because they have altered and improved other dire circumstances.
